The Burtonesque Dolls

it's time to recreate a scene from
The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Corpse Bride
or Beetlejuice. Use any images, from any company.

My immediate impulse was to make a NBC creation,
but I felt that I really should try another movie for a
change so I went with The Corpse Bride.

Damien from Simply Betty Stamps is my Victor and
Ghoulfriend from Tiddly Inks is the Bride.
The moon was made by using a Spellbinder's Nestie Circle.
I made a mask of Damien and the Moon and used Distress
Inks in Stormy Sky, Weathered Wood and Dusty Concord
for the night sky. The Forever stamp is a $1 Michaels stamp.
It's one of my favorite sentiment stamps.

Looking forward to seeing your creation!

Blue Crush

It's time for another
Sweet Pea Stampers Challenge
and this week it's
Blue Crush.
When I think of Blue, I think of the Sea, which then leads
to mermaids. I have a TON of Sweet Pea Stamps mermaid images
so it was really hard to choose but today I decided to use the
Beautiful Barbie by Joanne Schempp.

I colored her with Copics and kept the rest of the card
pretty simple. Some K & Co. Abrianna background
paper. Reflections flowers and a piece of Ribbon.
Can't wait to see your Creations!

Creepy and Crawly

It's Freaky Friday at Forever Night Challenges
and today we have a Mini Dark Art Challenge!
Creepy & Crawly
~ Create a mini art project with something creepy or something crawly or both~

The creepiest crawliest thing I can think of
is Gollum from LOTR. He just creeps me out!
So I had to use him for this challenge.

So bright..so beautiful...our precious.
Can't wait to see your CREEPIE creations.

The Lighter Side of Burton...

So today we have another release of Simply Betty Stamps
Merkids, and today it's Suzi!
The Burtonesque Dolls also have a fun challenge for
you, find a scene, poster, anything Burton that shows
a more lighter, softer side of his crazy norm.
Show us your brighter, happier Burton!
Three lucky entries will win the following:

From the Merkids:
Frosty and Summer Digis
Cornelius and Suzi Digis
Broom-hilda and Tiki Digis

So here's Suzi in wonderland!
I recreated the garden scene, with talking flowers,
funky mushrooms and a twisty tree.
(Tree and Mushrooms are from Tiddly Inks,
Flower face is from The Octopode Factory)

Here is my inspiration.

The quote reads "Why, sometimes I've believed
as many as six impossible things before breakfast".
Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Merkids

Today I am previewing Cornelius and Broom Hilda
for Simply Betty Stamps Merkids Preview.

Meet Broom Hilda!
She is just sooo cute! I just love all the Merkids, they
have such adorable little faces. That AWESOME sentiment is from
Graphicat Designs as a FREEBIE! Thanks Cheri!

Here's Cornelius!
I wanted to give him a Prince Eric look, you know the Prince from
The Little Mermaid. It would be a different story if the Prince
had decided to join the Merfolk. LOL

Anyway join us at
tomorrow for our next preview and a fun
Burtonesque Challenge.
