One of my favorite images is this stunning
Pearl Swirl Mermaid by Jasmine Becket-Griffith for
Crafts and Me Stamps.
When I first saw this image colored up
by the very talented Angela a few months back,
I knew I just had to have it.
I knew I just had to have it.
I just loved the colors that Angela used so
I had to try my hand at an imitation.
I kept the card really simple,
just a few layers of paper.
And I actually made the turqouise background
paper, using various colors of acrylic paint
on water color paper. A technique my mom taught me.
So here she is....
And here is a closer look.
Isn't this just an amazing image?
So of course I am playing along with
Crafts and Me Challenge blog
Favorite Image.

Thanks for looking and all the nice comments
they really make my day!
Thank you so much Rosa. As soon as I saw this in my dashboard, the first thing I thought was OMG that looks like my image I colored. You did a fantastic job on this a VERY BEAUTIFUL case if I may say so myself.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad my card was an inspiration to you. And if you haven't looked yet I used her again for today's post just different colors. Let me know what you think.
Was the background hard?? I think it is pretty easy to do, I just know I use a lot of ink.
Can't wait to see more of your artwork.
Hugs:)

Gorgeous card Rosa.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty and as Angela said it is a gorgeous case but it is also showing your style with those bold colours and the backing paper looks brilliant :D
